HOT BAG heat bags are ONLY suitable for heating in a microwave oven.

Microwaves activate the water molecules or particles of food/seed, causing heat by friction. If heated correctly, with a small container of water, you will maintain the quality of the 100% cotton fabric casing and 100% whole lupin seeds, which provides you with HOT BAG heat therapy.

My recommendation is that you purchase a microwave …just for your HOT BAGS.

lupins-flowers lupinsLupin refers to yellow legume seeds of the lupines plant eaten as a snack (or stock feed). Lupine is a word that describes any plant of the Lupinus genus that is characterised by erect spikes and purple-blue flowers. The plant produces yellow legume seeds. Lupin seeds are related to the nut family, so it is worth noting that if you have a nut allergy, use of this product should be avoided. That said, please contact us to see what alternatives filling can be used.

Lighter than wheat; Less dust; Quicker to heat; No development of unpleasant residual odour

You can wipe your HOT BAG with a damp cloth but be sure to never submerge it in water or the seeds will sprout.

All HOT BAG products include a brochure with instructions for use and safety. Included in this brochure is a guide for heating your HOT BAG, depending on your microwave wattage. This is a ‘guide only’ due to variation in age and type of appliance, as well as personal heat tolerance.

If you use the HOT BAG daily, l recommend that you replace it after 12 months, to maintain your personal safety. The natural fibre of the fabric and the seed will deteriorate normally, with repeated use over time.

Absolutely, lupin heats and maintains its’ heat for a comparable length of time to wheat.

To maintain the quality and lifespan of your HOT BAG, you could put a small container of water in the microwave during heating.

The wattage of your microwave is usually located on a label on the rear of your microwave.

In recent times, l have found the need to employ a friend to assist me with sewing some parts of the production process. Particularly with the larger Multi Hug and Collar models, the remainder l still produce myself.

l am quite happy to design a HOT BAG heat bag that suits your needs if my designs do not.  I have made several specialty designs over the years for this reason.
